I won’t lie to you and say that I normally limit my online purchases, I tend to do quite a bit of shopping online, year round. If you know me at all, you know that I am a sensible person who tends to purchase off the wall and illogical items…my shrink doesn’t understand it either. This pandemic though has really put a magnifying glass on my purchases for both me and my husband. I am very lucky to be one of the people who has kept their job and given the ability to work from home. I know there are too many people out there who are not that lucky.
Aside from the Texas, Vegas and Malibu trips, all of my travel plans were canceled this year because of COVID-19. With a lack of international travel, I have been very bored, very easily. I need to wander and explore more of this beautiful planet. So to make up for it. I’ve spent too much on items that indulge my inner materialistic self. From jewelry and bow ties, to musical instruments and five pound bags of gummy worms, my online shopping might have become excessive over the last few months. The bow ties alone confirm that my dad was right when he called me the male version of Imelda Marcos. As it looks as though this will continue for some time, I will either update this post with new purchases or hide my new items in shame…just have to wait and see. I should go now, the FedEx, DHL and UPS drivers have just arrived.
