At Home Perm

A few months ago I went to Los Angeles to relax and be a tourist. I wanted to add some volume to my hair before the trip so I decided to do an at home perm a few weeks before. Yikes. What a process it was. The smell alone was worse than any hair dye, but I have to say I was pleased with the results. The curls lasted longer than I expected, aside from some horrible skin irritation on my forehead that went away after a week, the process wasn’t bad at all. Below is photographic evidence of the event. 6 months later the curls have since relaxed to a wave, and although I did enjoy having curly hair, I don’t want to do an at home perm again. I miss my pompadour too much.
