Goodbye Uncle Harvey

My Uncle Harvey passed away a few days ago, and I am deeply saddened by it. Uncle Harvey was my dad’s eldest brother, and they were very close. He was my godfather, and an overall wonderful person. Uncle Harvey took me, and my brother fishing when we were boys, we also went camping, and hunting together. He was an Uncle you could turn to if you needed anything. He would take care of my brother and I while my mother was sick, he was the one with me and my brother the night my mother died, he even came to the gay bar (The cockpit) where my Farewell Party was being held when I left Austin back in 2007. He was a man full of love, love of family and of life. He played Bingo regularly, and as he won quite often was well-known as the luckiest person in the family. I have hundreds of special memories to share about my uncle Harvey, but I feel that anything I write right now will not do such a great man justice. So I just want to wish that he rest in peace, and know that he will never be forgotten. Much love to you Uncle Harvey!
