April has always been my favorite month of the year. It’s my Birth Month for a start, April 29th if you’re new to this. Hundreds of other awesome and amazing people have been born in April, a detailed list can be found here, probably the most inspirational person born in April has to be my dad. The birthstone for April is the Diamond which is probably why I look so good covered in them. April Showers is another exciting part, because I love the rain. Just leisurely strolling around Paris when it’s raining is not to be missed, it’s even better though if you have your romantic sweetheart with you and when you kiss in the rain you experience a piece of paradise here on Earth. April 15th, 1923 was when insulin to treat Type 1 diabetes became available, more here. The flower of April is either the Daisy or the Sweet Pea. April is National Volunteer Month in the United States which could be why I’m naturally inclined to Volunteer so much. April 29th is also International Dance Day, so my gift of lighting up a dance floor, or table or basically anywhere I step foot can be attributed to this. You’re welcome. The actual meaning of the name of April is a bit of a conundrum; some believe it’s derived from the latin word aperit which means to open. No jokes please,Tee hee. Another possible origin is that it is named after Greek God Aphrodite(Aphros) and that’s swell but Greek God Venus has her festival Veneralia every April 1st. That’s probably why those born in April are always so sexy. In the southern hemisphere, April is in Autumn, my favorite season, so no matter where you are on the globe, for the month of April, you’re winning! So, I raise a glass to you all toasting a happy and healthy month ahead.
