As 2016 comes to a close I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year.
I am thankful for all of the incredible people in my life who have helped make this year so amazing. So much joy, and so much love helped in a year with so much sadness and hatred. 2017 will bring my sister’s wedding, which she has asked me to preside over. I just recently got ordained and am very excited. We’ve joked about me wearing some fun outfits for the event, including a sexy mesh number…but since the groom has religious relatives including a couple of nuns, I’ll try to stay as tasteful as possible.
Things at the office have taken some interesting turns, my supervisor has left leaving only 1 colleague and myself to fight each other for it. Lucky we have a good friendship and have both determined that no matter who gets the job, we will be happy with the decision. Of course, to be painfully honest, we are both looking at other jobs…because when you’re stuck in a dead end position, you need to find someplace to grow. To encourage us to look even further outside of our current jobs, a new program manager was brought in who knows nothing about our jobs, and micromanages us. In her first month she jumped at the chance to take credit for my work, until it brought about some backlash, and now she only speaks to me in a barking tone. I’ve never had a manager this childish and unprofessional, but I’m excited to see how long its going to take to have her fired. My money is on 3 months, unless I leave this position.
My lovely boyfriend Miler and I have been together for over 8 months now. Its been so wonderful to find such a special person to share my life with. He is a talented and creative guy, and I think our styles suit each other very well. We celebrated X-mas together a couple of weeks early, as I always spend X-mas with my family. Our Holiday cards came out looking cute, if I do say so myself. We are looking forward to spending a long New Years Eve weekend together next week. He is going to be meeting my entire family at Kristina’s wedding in Denver in March, so I’m trying to prepare him for the shock. Currently, we are looking at bed and breakfasts to buy in the French countryside, as we both know that we don’t want to have any investments in the US before it tanks completely. Once we find the perfect one, there will be a post about it.
I am not a Christian, nor religious in any way, but I do believe in spreading love and cheer. I want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and a wonderful 2017.
Much Love,
