Coming up this summer is the UEFA EURO 2020. This is an exciting time for football fans, as the european teams have some of the most outstanding players in the world. My personal favorite, the French National Team and current World Cup Champions will be participating as well. My entire family (dad, sisters, brother, husband and in-laws) will be travelling to a London to enjoy the games live and in person. We all support different teams and that will make the competition even more exciting. Obviously I’m a French Fanatic, my sister Kamara is an England Supporter, my sister Kristina will be decked out in German Gear and my brother Kyle salutes the Spaniards. My father still doesn’t fully comprehend the whole “Euro” aspect, so he says he’ll be ruouting for the u.s. of a. I tried to explain to him that they couldn’t even qualify for the World Cup, but he won’t be dissuaded.
The UEFA Euro Final tournament draw happened on Saturday 30 November. The results are almost as corrupt as UEFA is, putting France, Germany and Portugal in the same group is a travesty and should never happen. The French team needs to start strong and stay strong throughout the entirety. The results of this draw is listed here:
A major highlight of this trip will be that it is my father’s first time to Europe. I’m super excited to show him everything that I love about Paris and and why it is the greatest city in the world. My dad is a country guy, so I’m not expecting him to fall in love with it the way I have, but I hope he will enjoy it enough to make it worth while. The world cup is going to be played in different cities all across Europe with the finals being held in London. I hope that we will be able to travel to a few different locations so that my dad can get a taste of it all.
Getting tickets for the games has not been a successful venture as of yet. In fact, we all signed up for the pool and all received sad news. I am full of high Hope’s that I will be able to purchase tickets from a scalper outside of the stadiums. Fingers crossed.
So, if any of you plan to watch this exciting sporting event there are just a few things you should remember: Fiers d’être bleus (Proud to be blue), BUT!!!!(Goal!!!), Allez Les Bleus! (Go Blues!).
