The 1920’s are frequently referred to as “The Roaring Twenties, Années Folles, Jazz age, Golden Age” and more. So far the 2020’s are not looking so hot. Over the past 9 months we’ve seen stupidity try to invalidate science, illegal criminals pardon other illegal criminals, the Black Lives Matter movement grew as did the number of innocent black people being killed. Yes, 2020 was a shity year. Although my brain feels some content knowing it will soon be over, there is sadly no guarantee that 2021 will prove any different. I always try to keep a positive outlook, so I have learned to play the violin, perfected my French to almost fluent levels and have taken up archery. I am most thankful to my loving and supportive friends and family who have helped me battle depression and overwhelming anxiety during this time. Let’s all try our best to be better people and keep positive thoughts that 2021 will be a much better year.
