French Real Estate

If you have read any of my blog posts over the last four years, you will understand that I have a bit of an addiction to French real estate. I moved to Paris at the end of 2017 looking for a place to buy to operate as a Bed & Breakfast. When I first moved to Paris, I was using it as my hub, not actually looking for a place in Paris but more further out in the French countryside. You can read my previous adventures here: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.

As time went on I did discover the beauty and majesty the French countryside held, but I also discovered I needed to live in a city. I need museums, restaurants, gay bars. So I decided to refocus my search to Paris specific. I knew I wouldn’t be able to get anything as large as I could in the country. One 13 bedroom hotel for under 100,000€ is not possible within Paris. So I decided that if the bed & breakfast ideas was what I still wanted I would need to find at minimum a two bedroom apartment.

I have since found hundreds of places in Paris and outside that I really love. If I were a millionaire, I would definitely want to become a real estate mogul. Anyway, I know that many people are working from home during this pandemic and getting a little bored. I fill a lot of my free time with searching properties online, and I thought I would share those gems with you now.

My very first French real estate website was France Property Shop this website is amazing and you can search every corner of France to find a property right for you. This website is best looking for property outside of major cities, and you find some extraordinary deals.

Searching inside the greater Paris metropolitan area I use the following sites and/or apps: SeLoger, Leggett, Logic-Immo and France Immobilier.

Although I am no expert by any means, I am happy to answer any questions you might have to the best of my abilities. Wishing you all, Happy House Hunting!
